Settling in

Once you have made the decision to register your child (or children) with us at Darling Buds, you will be invited to spend some time in your child’s (or children’s) group, where you have the opportunity to meet the staff and ask any questions you may have before you leave your little one(s) in our care. Our gentle settling-in process also means that your child (or children) will be invited to stay (by arrangement) for a short period of time without you present, which will allow them to meet their carers, make friends and experience their warm and welcoming ‘home from home’.

Your child (or children) will be allocated a key worker before he/she starts with us. The key worker welcomes and looks after your child ensuring that their care is tailored to meet their individual needs. The key worker offers a settled relationship for your little one(s) and also builds a relationship with parents ensuring the family have a familiar contact person to assist with the settling-in process.
